Sedation
If you need sedation for the extraction:
- Deep sedation / general anesthesia: covered, 1x per day with covered services, $0
- IV-conscious sedation: covered, 1x per day with covered services, $0
What to Expect
- Your dentist will take X-rays to assess the tooth and surrounding bone
- Simple extractions are for teeth visible above the gumline
- Surgical extractions involve teeth that are broken, impacted, or below the gumline
- Recovery typically takes a few days to a week
- After extraction, discuss replacement options (flipper, partial denture) with your dentist
After Extraction
