SSVF - Supportive Services for Veteran Families
Overview
The Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program, funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs, provides rapid rehousing and homelessness prevention services for very low-income veteran families in Colorado. The program is built on the principle that every veteran has a right to housing.
What's Provided
- Temporary financial assistance for:
- Rent payments
- Utility bills
- Security deposits
- Moving costs
- Case management and resource navigation
- Shallow Subsidy services for veterans in housing crisis (ongoing lighter-touch support)
- Connections to VA healthcare and benefits
Eligibility
- Must be a veteran or member of a veteran family
- Must be very low-income (generally at or below 50% AMI)
- Must be homeless or at risk of homelessness
- Must be willing to engage with case management
